Inspiration

Shri Ram Raghunath Garg Charitable Trust, Kota, was established in honor of the inspirational figures and founders of the “Raghu Garg Family,” the late Shri Ram Raghunath Garg and the late Smt. Rukmini Devi Garg and late Shri Narendra Kumar Garg and late Smt. Sarla Garg w/o Naval Kishore Gupta.

Shri Ram Raghunath Garg was born on 29 October 1932, a day of great joy as it was also the festival of Diwali in the town of Jalwara, located in the Baran district of Rajasthan, India. His father was the honorable Shri Devilal Mahajan, and his mother was Smt. Laxmi Devi. Shri Devilal, along with his younger brother Shri Chauthamal Mahajan, ran a grocery business in Jalwara. They established strong business ethics and values, earning respect throughout the town and surrounding areas. Besides their business endeavors, they were deeply involved in religious and social activities, significantly contributing to humanitarian and public service efforts.

From a young age, Shri Ram Raghunath Garg fully supported his father’s business in Jalwara. Through his hard work, dedication, honesty, and commitment, he achieved new heights in the business. A devout follower of Lord Hanuman, he started his day with a ritual of bathing in the river at 5:00 AM and visiting the Hanuman temple on the riverbank for worship and blessings.

In 1949, he married Smt. Rukmini Devi Garg, the daughter of the honorable Shri Harnath Goyal and Smt. Muli Bai of Baran. They were blessed with a large family, comprising six sons and four daughters. To provide better education and a higher standard of living for his children, he moved from Jalwara to Baran in 1970. With the support of his sons and family, he established a successful business, gaining high social and commercial respect through hard work, high ideals, and divine grace.

In 1986, with a vision to expand his business in Kota, he ventured into the oil industry and agricultural trade. With continuous progress, the family also contributed to social welfare and public service. Inspired by his values, his sons have expanded their businesses in agriculture, oil industries, warehousing, real estate, leasing, and more, establishing a reputable presence in Kota.

The establishment of this trust is an effort by the “Raghukul” to carry forward his ideals and social welfare activities, inspired by his values and principles.
